L’Union Européenne enquête sur les aides accordées à la société Dunaferr

The European Commission is investigating investment aid granted to the the largest Hungarian steel producer Dunaferr by the Hungarian government. The 37.4 million Euro aid package previously approved by the Commission was granted in December 2006. “The Commission has serious doubts whether the aid to Dunaferr, which owns the only integrated steel works in Hungary respects the provisions of the 2002 Multisectoral Framework,” Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes said in a statement.
