Raiffaisen devrait fermer 20 succursales en Hongrie

Raiffeisen Bank was to close 20 of its branches in Hungary early last week, the bank said, Real Deal reported early last week. All of the clients at the branches were informed earlier of the closures, Raiffeisen Bank said. Raiffeisen Bank said in mid-August that it would close the 20 branches. The branches, including five in Budapest, showed a fall in client numbers and were also close to other Raiffeisen Bank branches, the bank explained. Raiffeisen Bank said it does not see the Hungarian market expanding as quickly as in earlier years in the near future, thus it is taking strategic steps in the interest of bringing its structure in line with realistically expected business volume. Raiffeisen Bank will have 141 branches in Hungary after the closures.
