Zalabaromfi en crise

Hungarian poultry company Zalabaromfi has forced its several hundred employees to take temporary leave, as the CIB Bank has frozen the company’s bank accounts on September 1, thus Zalabaromfi cannot pay either its employees or its suppliers, Portfolio Hungary reported on September 12. Laszlo Horvath, head of the union at Zalabaromfi, said they finished packaging what was in the warehouse on September 11, but as the processing unit was shut down days ago, the workers in the slaughterhouse had nothing to do, so they were sent on a temporary one-week leave.
