Unilever Magyarország Kft [Unilever Hungary Ltd] gained strategic importance on the portfolio of the Dutch-British company when the EUR 8 million investment in the NE Hungarian plant specialized on the production of household chemicals and cosmetics finished last week. The expansion and the efficiency upgrade has proven that Hungary is an ideal location for international investments during recession years when expenses must be decreased without downgrading quality. Mr Francesco Azzara, director of the plant claimed at a plant conference that some of the production process, currently located in Western Europe could be relocated to Hungary.
