Hungarian-owned electric car maker Brixxon Elektromos Autó plans to construct a 1,000-1,500m² plant in Hungary, the company announced yesterday. There has been no decision as yet on the location of the factory, which will manufacture car parts.
The company developed the prototype of its self-assembly “Bontino” electric cars using module elements, a digital drive-system, and highly efficient lithium batteries. The company said demand is high for the product and that it will assemble cars at six locations abroad.
Brixxon will launch its car rental network first in Vilnius, Lithuania and in Potsdam, Germany, as talks about the introduction of similar service in Budapest failed, managing director Sándor László Horváth said.
