Austrian confectioner Ed. Haas inaugurated on September 17 a HUF 1 billion plant in Hungary, where it will make its trademark PEZ candy.
The plant, in Janossomorja (NW Hungary), is one of just two PEZ plants in the world. The other is near New York.
It will produce 2,000 tons of PEZ a year to be exported to 90 countries around the world. About a hundred people will work at the plant.
