At the end of June 2010, the number of mobile subscriptions was 11.9 million. Calls initiated from mobile networks accounted for more than three-quarters of the total call duration.
While cable and other fixed VoIP phoning is becoming more popular, fixed lines further decreased in number. During one year, Internet subscriptions increased in number by 548,000 and almost reached 3.0 million; 54pct of these were broadband connections (xDSL and cable TV).
Mobile Internet accounted for more than a million subscriptions.
