Antenna Hungaria investit 25 millions de HUF

Terrestrial broadcaster Antenna Hungaria (AH) is spending more than HUF 25 billion to build up its digital broadcasting network, AH CEO Jean-Francois Fenech said at a press conference in Budapest on September 25.

About 60 pct of Hungarian homes now have access to terrestrial digital television broadcasts, but the proportion will rise to 88 pct by the end of the year and to 96 pct by 2011, Mr Fenech said. By the beginning of 2012, Hungary will be able to discontinue analogue broadcasts, in line with the European Union's strategy, he added.Seven Hungarian television channels and three radio stations are being broadcast digitally.
